1940 Dodge Chrysler DeSoto 1940-1948 Plymouth NOS Mopar RF Door Latch Lock

Description: LINK TRANSFER REQUIRED. One WEATHERED NEW old stock Mopar RIGHT FRONT (PASSENGER SIDE) door latch fitting 1940 DeSoto Chrysler and Dodge STEEL BODY cars and 1940-1948 Plymouth. This latch has a level rub bar which differs from the rub bar used on 1941-1948 Chrysler, DeSoto and Dodge which is slightly angled. The two styles do not interchange. This class part was never boxed. Typically it sat on a nail in a dealers basement for 40 years before I rescued it. There is aging to the finish making it unsuited for a show car. If your objective is a working door this will do the job. Mopar serviced this part with over 6 numbers. Each number had a link of differing length going to the door remote. To expand coverage I removed one rivet and discarded the link. It will be necessary to remove and replace one rivet and reuse your existing link.
