Description: 1955 Topps #50 Jackie Robinson Brooklyn Dodgers HOF GAI 9 MINT . This was purchased by me around 2004 when GAI was a legitimate grading company. Mike Baker who helped start the company was the Top Grader at PSA back when they started until early 2000's. He left to start his own company with first CEO of PSA Steve Rocchi, and that was GAI. He now runs Mike Baker Authenticated and gives out Diamond Grades on Pre Slabbed cards. The early cards graded by GAI are considered to be of High Standards and used to be a staple in High End Auctions. There are only 24 PSA Mint 9's and only 1 PSA Gem Mint 10's in the PSA Population Report. Two auctions for a PSA 9 of this card each sold for $93,000.00 at Heritage Auctions on 5/10/2021.
