Description: Pair of antique Bradley and Hubbard of Meriden, Connecticut cast iron parrot bookends. These are old cast iron parrot bookends. The parrots are sitting on a perch and the bases have flat backs. The parrots and the bases are painted red , gold and green. It is very rare to find these bookends with so much of the paint intact. These could also serve as doorstops. In very good vintage condition with no rust, felt bases intact and only some minor colour loss - see pictures for full details including dimensions and weight. The bookends measure 6 1/2” tall x 4 7/8” wide X 2 1/2” deep. Together they weigh 2841 grams which is 6.263 lbs (each bookend over 3lbs).
