Description: Vintage Stainer violin. Full 4/4 size . Has strings on it and that is how they were playing it. Maybe lower ribs have been re-glued at some time, not really sure, look at photo. Label says Stainer. Looks like head had a crack and been repaired at one time. No cracks in front of violin. Comes in old coffin case, back latch works front of case needs adj latch - does not close. Probably c 1900. I think the photos say it all. SOLD AS IS! If you don't want old fiddles with repair please look elsewhere.
