Description: An antique or vintage French bronze Diane de Poitiers portrait medal, mounted as a paperweight in a leather base topped with a magnifying glass dome. The medal is just over 2 inches diameter, the leather base is just over 3.25 inches diameter, and with the dome in place the paperweight is approximately 1.5 inches tall. There's an old label on the bottom stating that this medal dates from the 17th century, but I don't think that's correct. It is in very good condition with just some wear to the outside of the leather, and some spots of oxidation to the medal. Please see the photos for details.
