Description: Authentic original sea-salvaged Spanish Shipwreck 8-Reales denomination silver cob coin minted in Mexico City in 1600s, mounted in bezel with numbered COA included, read details below; Spanish-Colonial era 8-Reales silver cob coin, minted in Mexico City, early 1600s. Sea-salvaged from the wreck known as the “Spice Islands Shipwreck”, Certificate of Authenticity and info card included, see photos. The coin is mounted in a custom designed bezel-setting, for use as a pendant. Pendant is open on both sides, allowing it to be reversible, if desired. The bezel setting is primarily Sterling Silver with solid 10k gold prongs and bail/bale. Complimented with one small round Emerald set into the thick gold bail/bale. The remains of an unknown vessel, perhaps a merchant or pirate ship, were discovered and contained several chests of 8 Reales coins. The 8-Reales were minted in the New World mints of Mexico City, Mexico, and Potosi, Bolivia during the reign of Philip IV of Spain.
