Description: China introduced the self-service kiosks in 1999 at three different locations within Beijing. The first generation was used between Nov 1, 1999 and Aug 2, 2001. The label itself can be used as stamp. Then, the label changed to 2nd generation with two parts. The self-service kiosk meter is only considered as proof of postage paid. Additional stamps or meter stamps were added as postage. A few kiosks were moved from Beijing to Fuzhou in 2004. Then, one kiosk was tested in Fuzhou for a few years. There are still kiosks in Beijing with version 2 labels. The labels or meters from the kiosks are rare since most of them only available with very limited time. Here offers version 2 used in Beijing ¥0.60 mailed to Zhengde, Hebei province on Feb 08, 2006. Additional ¥0.60 postal meter from same postal office added as postage paid. Name is blocked for privacy. There is a box at bottom left corner with the shape of the kiosk and indication "Mailed from Self-Service Kiosk". This additional indication is only available from Beijing kiosk. Rare! Shipping without tracking is $1 within US. Insured or registered mail is optional with additional cost.
