Description: City Of London's Guildhall 1953 Vintage Print A print from a disbound book about London dated 1953, the reverse side has an unrelated picture. Caption beneath the picture - THE CITY OF LONDON'S GUILDHALL. The front of Guildhall was the work of George Dance the Younger in 1789. The hall itself dates back at least to the fifteenth century. It was severely damaged by the Great Fire of 1666 and by fire-bombs in 1940. Suitable for framing, the average picture size is approx 8" x 9.75" or 20cm x 25cm, actual page size inc border and text approx 8.5" x 11". Border on one side is very narrow. This is a vintage print, printed on semi-gloss heavy magazine style paper not a modern copy and does show signs of age or previous use commensurate with the age of the print with possible light creases, marks or foxing. Please view the scans as they form part of the description any major faults would be highlighted or mentioned here. The date given of 1953 is the printing date, the actual date of creation can be earlier. All pictures will be sent bagged and in a board backed envelope for protection in transit. Please note: That while every care is taken to ensure my scans or photos accurately represent the item offered for sale, due to differences in monitors and internet pages my pictures may not be an exact match in brightness or contrast to the actual item.
