She first alienates, then emotionally and physically destroys them all. Comment: This 2001 film Poison was a direct rip-off of the 1993 Shannon Tweed / Andrew Stevens film Scorned, which in turn was a direct rip-off of the 1991 Annabella Sciorra / Rebecca De Mornay film The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. They even hired an Andrew Stevens look-alike to play the husband. But ignore all of that. In the end it doesn't matter... not the huge explosion from a trickle of gas, not the bloodless stabbing (because there was no knife!), not the medical inconsistencies, not the forensic evidence, not the lack of a plot. The only thing that matters is that Poison is very entertaining. Recommended for very late night viewing, this movie has everything: suspense, ample nudity, surprisingly good character development, a surprise ending, and of course, Kari Wuhrer and Barbara Crampton. I rest my case! Per the label, the film has 92 minute running time and is presented in widescreen 1.85:1 format; with English audio. This movie-on-demand MOD archive title on recorded media is new and factory sealed. The DVD disc is Region 1, NTSC format, specifically designed to play on DVD players in North America.
