Description: Early 1900s Antique Hand Quilted Patchwork Quilt 76”x60”. Hundreds of 2" squares make the design. I believe this quilt was made in the early 1900s. 1900-1910s this quilt was made before there were feedsack fabrics! It has been used and loved, but is in fairly good vintage condition considering it is over 110 years old. I found about 12 squares where the fabric square has become threadbare and the batting is coming out. And about 12 places where the seam has opened up and needs to be sewn. See pictures. I bought this quilt at an estate sale in Clearwater, Florida. It is HAND QUILTED in white thread. The back is a very soft white cotton with blue flowers and blue stripes. The backing is brought to the front for the binding. The binding is nice and wide framing the postage stamp patchwork on front. There are many fabrics used in the making of this beautiful colorful quilt. A wonderful piece of Americana. A true Labor of Love. Lovely conversation piece. 110324
