Description: This item includes five original antique Anatomy Plates from Volume I of the Encyclopedia Britannica, 9th Edition (considered "the Scholar's Edition"). This first volume was issued in 1875. These prints have been mounted on black construction paper. They are in good condition with minor signs of wear and ageing, and edge discoloration. The various plates are entitled "Lymphatic Vascular System", "The Brain", "Organs of Sense"; two are untitled. There is an occasional smudge but otherwise they are generally clean, and certainly suitable for framing. Please enlarge the photos so that you can see the details of each plate.
