Description: This Hamilton 4992B pocket watch is an excellent example of a WW2 Military Navigation Watch with a 24 hour dial and a large sweep second hand. These watches were used by the NAVY and Army Air Corps during WW2. The watch features a mechanical (manual) movement, 22 jewels, and a lever escapement. This 22 jewel movement is a military adaptation of the very popular civilian 21 jewel 992B Railroad Approved pocket watch movement. Additionally, the watch has a robust 16 size nickel screw back and bezel case, making it a durable timepiece for military use. Note that many of these watches have had case parts interchanged. However, this collectable timepiece has all case parts as original (serial numbers match). And, of course, this watch is in excellent running condition.This pocket watch is a great addition to any military watch collection and is sure to impress anyone who sees it.
