Description: An unbelievable antique Art Deco period gold signet ring, fabulously finely hand enamelled with a skull. His forthright, aggressive attitude steals the show with this piece - grabbing the eye and drawing it closer with the incredible amount of detail. Right down to the shading, shadows and micro details, he's so well painted by a master microscopic artist and fits perfectly in the tiny ring head. I believe he was added to the plain antique ring recently by a master craftsman. The solid 18 carat gold ring, with lovely flowing tapering shoulders and integrated wide band, bears a faded hallmark for Chester 1934 - a rare one as the Chester assay office closed down in 1962, and didn’t hallmark many pieces even while operating. It's a lovely quality, smaller scale yet reassuringly heavy piece perfect for the tiny skull and is in lovely, lightly worn condition for its age - the skull itself is in perfect condition.
