Description: On offer for sale is this desirable JeanRichard 1681 Small Second model timepiece boasting the brand's caliber JR1090 fully decorated movement which required four years of development to produce. The JR1090 in-house movement was developed in conjunction with JeanRichard's parent company the legendary Girard-Parregaux brand. It was the year 1681 when young watchmaker Daniel Richard made his very first timepiece upon setting up his watchmaking workshop. This modern timepiece is truly a work of art to behold due to a myriad of design features which are unique and proprietary to the brand. For example the case of this timepiece was not molded or stamped but rather it was milled and consists of multiple layers of concentric rings built one upon the other comprising 70 individual highly polished pieces in all which comprises the illustrious case. The 1681 Small Second is the brand's highest proposition to date which is reflected by the extraordinary level of craftsmanship which this timepiece features as it boasts one of the most beautiful enamel dials ever to grace a timepiece of any brand. As for the in-house movement this engine vibrates at 4Hz and ensures at least 48hrs of power reserve as visible through the transparent case back. The watch's handcrafted/stitched strap is crafted from premium quality genuine ostrich skin the quality of which is on par with many of the world's finest premium handbags.
