This fine Japanese sword would make an important acquisition for any collection. An armor piercing tanto has a blade usually at least twice the normal tanto thickness. This armor piercer measures 3/8” thick (9 mm)--about twice the normal thickness of a tanto. The nakago is not signed. The blade nagasa measures 8 1/4” (21 cm). The blade has a suguha/straight temper line. Condition:The blade had some occasional light scratches, but is in overall good polish. The two-piece mekugi is missing on one side. The buyer can search for a replacement online. For international transactions, you may be responsible for duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees as required by your country's laws.
