Description: For sale by original owner, my Sony TC-K700ES Stereo Cassette Recorder with instructions and service manuals. Purchased new in the late 1980's, the 700ES probably has the best cassette transport of any machine. And good attention to detail in the audio circuit. I was a tech in the industry back then, and did some minor upgrades to it, things like replacing any electrolytics in the signal path to film caps, stiffening up the power supply rails, and local bypassing of the opamps. It was meticulously maintained, and was the best-sounding cassette deck I ever had, with excellent tape handling. I ended up not using it all that much. It has been sitting in a closet for at least the last 15 years. I would estimate that it has around 60-70 hours of run time on it. The heads, capstans, and rollers are in excellent condition. As are the cosmetics overall. And of course it works fine. It comes with the owners manual and service manual. I should have the original box for it too, but have been unable to locate it yet. Regardless, it will be well-packed.
