The Forest of Dean GWR pannier tank 0-6-0 No 7723 shunts wagons for Cannop colliery during the Second World War. On the road below a group of Italian POWs are being marched towards the colliery while a farm cart and lorry are engaged on coal delivery service. No 7723 was based at Gloucester shed and spent much of its working life in the Forest of Dean area. Built in 1930, it was withdrawn in 1960.
