Unknown 13” Jointed Metal(?) Dolly Dingle Doll

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This beautiful smiling faced little doll is a vintage Dolly Dingle-style “big unsure” doll, for which, I was unable to determine her year/maker, only that she is fashioned after Horsman’s Dolly Dingle/Campbell Kids doll mold. I am also unsure about the material she is made of; possibly metal, but, again, unsure. With that in mind, I would questimate that she was made possibly in the 1970s-80s (but unsure), making her approximately 45 years of age at the time of this writing. She measures approximately 13 inches tall and is marked on the back of her neck, but I cannot tell what it is. She has a full metal(?) jointed body at the knees, elbows, shoulders, hips, and neck with a swivel head, long curly brown replacement wig, painted brown eyebrows, brown painted eyes with painted “fish” eyelashes, a little pug nose, rosy cheeks, and a closed smile with water melon-colored lips. Her body is in fairly good condition, but she does have some rubs and scuffs here and there, and paint loss especially at her joints. I’m guessing that her middle finger on her left hand was damaged and put back on; again, unsure. She was repainted at some point in her little life (that I'm sure of), but looked a bit “pale” with pale pink lips, so I took the liberty of repainting her lips a water melon color to add more color to her face. Also, her right knee joint was damaged at some point, so I repaired it to stabilize her and re-glued the sole back onto her left shoe. She comes in a beautiful red handmade(?) replacement sundress with white polka dots and matching bonnet adorned with lots of lace around the top and hem, white tights and red buckle shoes. I believe her dress was sewn onto her because I was unable to get it off. So, I added a snap closure where the front of her dress shapes into a “V” thinking I could simply slip it over her head. Unfortunately, that didn’t work; and I didn’t want to force it over her head for fear of damaging her. Sold as is; no returns; no refunds.
