Description: A Lovely Pair of Sterling Silver Classic Column Candlesticks in fine overall condition. Made in Birmingham in 1900 by I. S. Greenberg a well known manufacturer from Birmingham who had only started manufacturing in 1890 and traded until about 1940. Clear hallmarks to the base of each stick for the same year of 1900 and also a factory mark stamped on another edge. One saying 2-14 and the other 2-17. Classic Column design with a floral bases and a classic column top. Both sconces have matching hallmarks with knocks and one shows signs underneath of repair. The plain columns are in good shiny condition but do have slight small knocks from previous use around them. The bases have no holes rubbed through them but there are very small knocks around the bottom edges. Please see all images. Overall size is 5 tall or 13 cm. The square base measures 3 1/2 inches or 9 cm square, sizes are approximate. Both candlesticks are filled and weighted. Green baize bottoms. REF: CSC 1368
