Description: Vintage / Antique, Possibly Victorian Late 1800s - 1940s? Era KNIFE. Knife was made for the FIRST NATIONAL LIFE INSURANCE Company in New Orleans, Louisiana. On the handle of the knife it is inscribed THURSTON B. MARTIN, PRESIDENT. I assume the knife was either made personally for Mr. Martin (1884-1971) or was an item that the company gave away to customers. Mr. Martin’s obituary and information was located online, please see images. Knife is in good condition, considering its age. Both blades intact. Item was an estate sale find in South Louisiana.
