Description: Memorial card given out at Tennessee Williams' wake in St. Louis, where he was buried but didn't want to be. I covered the funeral as a reporter and was the only one at his wake, other than his brother, Dakin. The memorial cards, with Thomas Lanier Williams' birth and death dates and psalms, etc., were brand new and stuck together, so when I took one upon leaving, there were three stuck together. This is the third and last one. It is 100% original and authentic, not a reproduction. It is an important keepsake for any of Williams' most ardent literary fans, whether you were most awed by The Glass Menagerie, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Streetcar Named Desire, Orpheus Descending, Sweet Bird of Youth, Summer and Smoke, The Rose Tattoo, The Night of the Iguana, The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore, This Property Is Condemned, Suddenly Last Summer, or whichever work you most admire. It is accompanied by some fabric text 'art' that features the T.W. quote, "America has only three cities: New York, San Francisco and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland." The man certainly had clear ideas about towns.
