Description: VINTAGE WHITING & DAVIS1960'sMESH HANDBAG/PURSEWHITEFAUX TORTOISE LUCITE HANDLEMOD I bought this on eBay about 25 years ago. I think it must have been around the time that FRIENDS and SEX AND THE CITY were big. I went on a bit of a vintage handbag binge. I was somewhat obsessed with Whiting & Davis and Carlos Falchi. I bought them to use, most got a lot of time outside my NYC apartment others were displayed or stashed in my closet. This is one of the coolest W&D bags in my collection! I actually saw it in a fashion mag story featuring Catherine Malandrino, hanging in her AMAZING closet. I used this bag a lot. I worked at a hotel in Times Square and brought it with me. It's such a great size. 10.5 X 12.5. Back in the day, you could put your 8 X 10 in there, no problem. It's been in my closet for a long time and now it's time to release it into the wild again. There is some surface wear on the mesh. It's a great "every day purse" with personality! All vintage items are sold "as is".
