WW2 Era German Helmet M35 Separate Details Air Vents Zero Markings RePop?Relined

Description: Ok. So I came across this on my local marketplace. Nice enough guy, meet him and was his wife's, father's. Blah blah blah. Was listed as a M40, research says ,m35. Further research says I just don't know. Pictures are provided please see these Now, if I was selling bootlegged helmets I wouldn't be having people pick them up at my house. And as it was, he just had the 1. To it's authenticity, I make no claims. Zero. But I'll tell you why I think it's real. It has zero marking. .no left hand brim by D ring. No center back brim. Nothing. I've unlaced the liner, I've pushed and pulled. I see zero anything. Other than scratching left side where you'd expect to see some marks and then a name in white Hahn, again on the inside of the helmet is some white paint. About a 1"x2" rectangle. Odd. The liner is in good shape. It appears as if it could be authentic. Correct aluminum frame and stitching, under materials and what not. The separation of paint on the helmet and the rivets leads me to believe the liner has at some point been swapped out. Not uncommon practice, especially since the M35s had 5 years on the M40s so I'm sure they saw a mid war refresh. New liners. Etc. Air vents. Are not punched hot, they are pressed. The lowering of molly that is the M40s purpose, save money, degrades the steel properties enough to allow for pressed airholes but provide enough protection. In typical German fashion. It was a win, win. Cheaper and faster. So more. Hitler was outfitting his army so fast and in relative immunity while controlling the flow of information. You control the press, the food, and travel. You control them all. And as such it was. I just don't know why someone would go thru all this effort to replicate something like this and not apply some known makers marks. Make it more passable. The way it appears before me. It had some marks or any sort. I'd be more convinced. Why the heavy scratching on the left side? I know a certain amount of helmets have very faint stamping. This was the original high molly M35, it was of a higher manganese and thus would have been more difficult to mark, especially since they were usually stamps and a ball peen hammer. But then no size at the rear rim. Then the other factor, there have been plenty of helmets found in the wild to be not only authentic, but bearing zero markings. Does this mean it's Swiss? Cold war stuff? I don't know. Please use your knowledge and resources, if indeed the authenticity is of the utmost importance to you. I've presented you with the facts as best I can. Until told why it isn't. I'll assume it is. And I've had many people look at it, and say oh nice German WW2 helmet. Pick it up. Look at it..hold it. One guy even said oh neat it's a 35 to n you can always tell by the airholes he told me. He was about 81. I believe him. With that. I thank you for your time, much appreciated. It's been fun.
